Ancient House Press invests in £2.5 Million Komori Ten Colour Perfector.
Ancient House Press, based in Ipswich, is demonstrating its confidence in a competitive marketplace by announcing a multi-million pound investment in the latest generation Komori Lithrone GL40 printing press.
The £2.5 million investment in the Komori Ten Colour GL1040P sheet fed press will enable the company to enhance and strengthen its business for the future, particularly in the production of catalogues, high quality brochures and reports.
The new press offers a portfolio of technology designed to enhance production efficiency, improve print quality and lessen the environmental impact of the process by dramatically reducing make-ready waste. The press is the first in the UK to be specified with the Komori Asynchronous Fully Automatic Plate Changer; it also features the latest generation PDC-SX closed loop spectrophotometer with auto register system and the KHS AI self-learning control system, technologies which combine to enable five minute make-readies.
AHP has also decided to equip the press with a Mabeg reel-sheet device. This provides a perfect fit with its existing two Komori 38S five unit 16-page web presses and demonstrates the partnership between AHP and Komori running both sheet and web technology.
It is anticipated that this latest development will also result in new jobs across all departments at AHP.
